The Source Membership - Acne & Breakouts

Updated: Apr 26, 2022

The best way to minimise breakouts and reduce scarring caused by acne is to start on a regular treatment plan alongside a good homecare routine. We offer a membership plan to help give you a range of different treatments to specifically treat your skin.

We will tailor each of your treatments to meet your skincare needs. Starting off with a minimum of six treatments to give you the best results.

Your treatment and homecare plan will depend on your skin concerns and goals but there are certain treatments we lean towards for best results.

One of our favourite treatment combinations for treating acne related skin concerns are Hydrafacial, AlumierMD peels and Resurface fractional laser.

Hydrafacial is a 6 step facial which uses hydra-dermabrasion to deep cleanse and exfoliate the skin before using the vacuum technology to extract blackheads and congestion.

The AlumierMD peels contain a mix of Lactic acid and salicylic acid which will help to dissolve dead skin cells from the surface and exfoliate within the pores. This works to improve the texture and tone of the skin; whilst normalising oil production to minimise breakouts and congestion.

The Resurface treatment uses fractional laser to help with rejuvenation of the skin helping any uneven texture and scarring.

We would start of with Hydrafacial to kickstart the skin and remove any build up of dead skin cells and congestion, before moving onto the Radiance peel to allow us to work into the skin helping to minimise breakouts and balance oil production.

Next we would move up a level to Glow peels and Resurface which work deeper into the skin to work on maintaining these results and reduce scarring. By this point you should be seeing changes within the skin and the more advanced treatments allow us to achieve better, longer lasting results.

A 6 month Source of Skin Health Membership for Acne/Breakouts may look something like this;

  1. Hydrafacial

  2. Radiance 20/10 peel & LED

  3. Radiance 20/10 peel & LED

  4. Glow Peel

  5. Re:Surface

  6. Glow Peel

Homecare is also so important to look at when having in clinic treatments. Make sure your cleanser and moisturiser are right for your skin and not adding to any of the concerns. Cleansers for acne/oily prone skins can be quite harsh and actually lead to breakouts and over production of oil rather than help it.

Ingredients such as salicylic acid and retinol are key. You can also help your skin from within with supplements containing phytonutrients to detoxify the skin. Our favourites are Acne Balancing Serum, Retinol 0.5% both from AlumierMD and Advanced Nutrition Skin Accumax supplements.

For more information tailored to your specific concerns and goals please don't hesitate to book a consultation with us. We have different options for all skin types, time frames and budgets.
